PRESCRIPTIONS

It is in your best interest for medications to be discussed as part of a consultation process. Please ensure appointment has been booked prior your repeat prescription expiring

APPOINTMENTS

Please call 07 3172 6130 to make an appointment or make an on line appointment via our website. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time. If you require an urgent appointment or have a sick child, please advice the reception staff who will organise a same day appointment. Standard appointment time is 15 minutes. If you require a longer appointment, please ask the receptionist for a double appointment. Longer appointments may be necessary if you are a new patient, have a list of issues, and have forms that need to be completed or require a minor surgical procedure

FEES – We are a predominantly a Bulk-Billing clinic.

Bulk-billing is provided for all patients that have a Medicare Card and are in for a general practitioner visit If you do not have a Medicare Card, you will be seen as a private patient and will be required to pay for the consultation.

If you have a Medicare Card and are seeking skin checks that initial consultation will be Bulk-Billed as well as biopsies of skin moles; however, extensions will incur an out of pocket time. These fees can be discussed with the doctor.

TEST RESULTS

Discussion of test results is best done at a follow up appointment with your GP. Please allow several days for routine pathology results to be processed. Urgent tests are usually available within 24 hours.

REMINDER SYSTEM

Our practice is committed to providing continuing care and preventative care. We operate a reminder system for preventive health services. If you do not wish to part of system, please advice reception staff.

MANAGEMENT OF PERSONAL HEALTH

Your medical records are private and confidential, and only available to authorized members of staff. An information Mount Gravatt Medical Centre & Skin Cancer Clinic is managed in accordance with the national Privacy Principles of the Privacy Act, available at www.privacy.gov.au/health

If you have any concerns, complaints or suggestions about any aspect of our service we would appreciate hearing about them and we will take them seriously.
